About me
As a former journalist, therapist, doula and performer, I feel as though being a funeral celebrant is exactly where I should be. A neat Venn Diagram of my skill sets would put me right here and it is where I find so much gratification, assisting in a moment of great need.
It is a gigantic privilege acting as a friendly support and gentle guide through one of life’s trickiest journeys - planning an appropriate celebration of a life well-lived.
As well as help organise a unique celebration of a life, I can help you write an obituary, assist in an ashes scattering ceremony (or dispatch ashes if you are unable to attend to them). I can also arrange for any service to be recorded should you wish.
If you need someone to help you navigate the creation of a memorable service, look no further!
I can help you select the music and readings which best suit, assist you curating the funny stories or meaningful anecdotes and help you write the eulogy (or write it for you) and present as much of the service as you desire - or just be your Master of Ceremonies, a friendly presence you can rely on if you need some back up. It is completely up to you.
I am not affiliated with any specific belief system and so will happily incorporate any elements you wish in your service from the sublime to the ridiculous. I am equally at home in a crematorium, a field or anything in between - only you know the best venue for your service to be held and the most fitting resting place. Together we can plan something memorable and appropriate.
White Rose provide an alternative funeral service to help you talk sensitively about your family member who has died, to help discern the best way to say farewell. I work with clients and the team at White Rose to help find the best way to celebrate a life lived. Between us, we will find a way to make a meaningful service which can incorporate any elements you wish.
Poppy's are funeral directors in London on a mission to give people the funeral they want, need and can feel proud of. I work with Poppy's because they care about doing the right thing – creating funerals how they ought to be for you, for the person who's died and for the planet. (They are also a company largely run by women…)

South Downs Natural Burial Grounds is the perfect spot for a natural burial - in harmony with nature, every memorial tree is a native species managed and worked as a coppice to ensure a rich bio-diversity, encouraging wildlife. I appreciate that the centre also has an education strand to pass on the environmental message to the next generation.
