DUKlogo.jpgPost Natal Doula:

This service involves me working with you in your home to help you adjust to the role of being a mother.  I do not try to do things for you, rather with you, to enable you to gain in confidence and the skills so needed in the early days of being a new mother.  chaffey.jpg

I will cook for you, help you with breastfeeding, do your laundry, make beds, iron, listen and generally be a support to you in whatever way you need.  I can watch your baby whilst you sleep, take your baby out for a walk whilst you meet friends for coffee, go out with you and your baby to give you a helping hand or generally run errands for you.  I am a good cook and as a coeliac myself I am able to work around most allergies and likes and dislikes (and will never eat your last chocolate Hobnob), generally leave your freezer full of nutritious meals for you and your partner to enjoy so you can concentrate on what is important and just reheat ready home cooked meals while you spend time with your new baby. I work in four or five hours blocks of time and can come to you within a ten mile radius of Richmond.  I can do the occasional overnight if you need one. My charges are £25 an hour. You may want to have a look at the Netmums website for more helpful advice and hints about motherhood.
