Birth Doula:Imogen%20with%20Lucy%20resized.jpg

This service includes:

One pre-natal visit to meet you and your partner, and then at least one more (but frequently more) to discuss your birth plan and finalise details and to get to know you better.  As soon as we sign a contract I am available to you via email or phone as often as you need.

I will be present at your birth either at your home or at hospital or any combination as appropriate to you.  I do not have a time limit on my services, so if your labour is long, I will stay with you until the baby is born.
I also arrange one post-natal visit.  I pay a final visit to you at your home within a week or ten days of your baby’s birth.  I bring a meal and a letter addressed to your baby describing their birth.
I am on-call for you from ten days before your due date to fourteen days after it, understanding that should you go into labour early I will do everything I can to be with you.  I always use a contract and frequently work as part of a team to guarantee you cover. I charge £1250 as a holding fee, a deposit on the contract before my on-call period starts.   I require my final payment (£1250) in the form of a post dated cheque (dated your EDD) at the start of our on-call period. Please note, I am generally booked up at least 6 months in advance, but frequently have last minute availability if a client gives birth prior to her due date and therefore may be available closer to your due date. I am always happy to chat with you and recommend on other doulas if I am unavailable myself, including trainee doulas who I am mentoring.
